King George Station

Project Description

King George Station is a landmark mixed-use development that will further transform the rapidly evolving downtown core of Surrey – British Columbia’s second largest city.

Directly adjacent to the Expo Line’s King George Station and two proposed future rapid transit lines and stations, King George Station will provide over 760,000 square feet of LEED Gold, transit-oriented office and retail space in multiple phases, as well as approximately 1.2 million SF of residential space in a later phase.

The first phase of King George Station encompasses Coast Capital Savings Credit Union’s Help Headquarters – an iconic City Centre home for Coast Capital Savings that will support the credit union’s numerous initiatives which contribute to and make a difference in the Surrey community.

A “Cool Space and Place,” Coast Capital employees will experience a new concept work environment, where non-traditional, open and collaborative “we space” is the focus. As well, the first phase will include Coast Capital’s aperio-style branch, a day care, ample parking, and a fitness facility for employees. Construction will commence later in 2013.

Coast Capital Saving’s Help Headquarters will be directly adjacent to the King George SkyTrain Station and will include an active pedestrian zone – where transit plazas, a public plaza and the Coast Capital Community Plaza come together.

At the connection point of up to three rapid transit lines, King George Station will become a vibrant hub of pedestrian activity supported by walkable retail and services, plentiful offices, a growing population of nearby residents, and public gathering spaces for the local community. The neighbourhood and transit area will enjoy increased public safety due to the additional people and eyes on the street.
